Reindeer Food

Look at these cuties all ready to sprinkle some reindeer food on our lawn so it's easier for the reindeer to find our house.  We had really warm weather but a little bit of a sprinkle.

Julia made two bags of reindeer food...one at her class party and one at a friend's Christmas party so she let Andrew have one.

Still smiling and being such a trooper even though she has strep throat.

I love her little stance...wow is my girl growing up!

Two happy kids who are very excited about Santa coming to our house!  We can't wait to see what kind of toys he brings them!

First Christmas Gift

When I was growing up we always opened one present on Christmas Eve after mass.  This year we didn't all make it to mass since we found out earlier that day that Julia had strep throat and we didn't want to infect others.  Instead we let them open one gift a little before dinner since excitement levels were high with Christmas so near.

Andrew opened an attachment he could add to his Hot Wheels race track.  He sure had fun playing with it that night.

My sweet Julia who had strep didn't actually feel horrible but her cough was so bad.

She was all excited about her Fashion Plates toy she got.  I remember having one of these when I was younger and now my little girl has one.  A few days later she made a Fashion Plates book.  Can't wait for tomorrow...it's so exciting!

Griffin and Jingle

The kids always loved waking up and going to look for Griffin and Jingle to see where they were and what they did.  Such an exciting month leading up to Christmas.

Griffin and Jingle playing tic-tac-toe.

Looks like our elves liked Andrew's gingerbread house.

Griffin left a few peppermint patties for Andrew.

And Jingle left a few peppermint patties for Julia.

Ziplining.  Weeee!

Andrew's all excited about the elves.

Toilet paper sign...Only 6 more days until Christmas!

Same thing in Julia's room.

Talking to Griffin and Jingle a little.  What a fun month it has been with these two elves around.

Christmas Books

The day after Christmas last year I got some great deals on some Christmas books.  I decided to save them for this year and the last 5 nights before Christmas they opened a new book to read each night before bed.  Never did I think they would be so excited about opening a new Christmas book but it was a big hit!

It was really fun to see their excitement each night opening and reading the new book.

Andrew unwrapped his book which left a million pieces of wrapping paper on his bed.  He's even messy unwrapping presents if that's even possible.

Julia was just as excited about opening her books too!

They really enjoyed opening the new books and even asked if we were going to do it again next year.  I guess I need to find some more good deals on Christmas books.

All I Want for Christmas

My little baby girl isn't so little anymore and as each day passes she is growing up more and more and it makes me both happy and sad at the same time.  Something about losing a front tooth just makes her look older.  I'm kinda sad she's growing up but at the same time look forward to all the great experiences which lie ahead for her in her life.  She's truly been a blessing to us and it's hard to believe how quickly she is growing up.  I'm not good at pulling teeth and Julia had one that was very wiggly so she pulled it herself.  She was so proud of herself!

Luckily this happened all in the kitchen so my camera was right there to capture it all.

So very proud but also a bit in shock she did it herself.

New smile for a while.

She still can't believe she pulled it herself.  The first tooth she pulled out!

Pushing her tongue through the hole.  Such a cute girl!

Grinch Christmas Party

Lucky Julia got invited to a Grinch Christmas party and had a blast!  They watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas, had a snack, did lots of crafts and even got their hair done like Cindy Lou from the movie.  Such a fun morning for our little girl.  Huge thank you to Tiffany for organizing the party!

Frosty the Snowman

All ready to watch Frosty the Snowman and cuddled up together in the recliner along with heaps of stuffed animals and blankets.  These are some of the best times together!
