All Clean!

Most nights Andrew and Alexander took their baths at the same time. Here's a few cute photos of them once they're all clean. Alexander was all relaxed while Andrew was kicking away which is why his towel is pretty low. I kept moving it up but he kept kicking which made the towel go lower and lower...luckily he didn't show anything.

The Elf on the Shelf

By now I'm sure everyone or almost everyone has heard of the book The Elf on the Shelf (actually one mom from Julia's ballet class just heard about it this year). Well we have an elf that stays with us and reports back to Santa each night about Julia and Andrew's behavior. Our elves name is Griffin and everyday he finds another spot to hide. Julia is great at finding him and always wonders how he gets way up high. One morning he was on the side of the TV watching over Julia and Andrew.

The next morning we found him hanging out in Julia's stocking. I'm sure when he reports back to Santa he has only good things to say about the Brown children. Griffin is really good about finding hiding spots...sometimes I have trouble finding him.

Christmas Card Photos

Taking a photo of Julia and Andrew for our Christmas card was no easy task. We tried it a few different times and ended up picking one from the first time we tried. Many times Julia would look good but not Andrew or Andrew looked good and not Julia.

I love this one of Julia looking at Andrew and he has a big smile. She just loves him!

I took a few of Julia by herself and they came out great...much easier to take a photo of one kid.

Julia is such a happy little girl.

Gotta love this one! We tried again a different day but didn't have much luck. Julia is so over taking photos and Andrew is exhausted. Once you get our Christmas card you'll see the one we picked.

Andrew's Baptism

On Saturday November 26th Andrew was baptized at St. Brendan's Church which is the same church where Julia was baptized. He did such a great job during the service and was making raspberries the whole time. He definitely made the people behind us smile and they commented on what a happy baby he is which is very true.

Julia was such a cutie while we waited for the service to begin. She really is growing up and is such a beautiful little girl and so sweet too. Lately before bed she tells me how lucky she is that we're her Mommy and Daddy...it just makes my heart so happy because we're so glad we're her parents.

Family photo before Andrew was baptized.

My sister and her husband Bradley and of course cute Alexander who is going to be one on December 16th.

Photo of the Browns and the Dennisons after the baptism.

It was a nice day so we stopped at the bridge outside the church to take a few photos. My little guy and me...I just love this kid!

Andrew with his Godparents Aunt Kim and Uncle Bradley. Uncle Brad looks much better without the mustache but it was 'Movember' (raises awareness for prostate cancer)...we missed the clean shave look by just a few days.

My sister and her husband Bradley are the Godparents for both Julia and Andrew. Often times people have different Godparents but we think it's really special that both our kids have the same Godparents. We love you!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Browns! Andrew was looking so cute in his Thanksgiving outfit from Nana and Papa with a cute little turkey on his bum. We were glad to have my sister and her family in town for Thanksgiving this year since she's my best friend.

My sister and I took our two boys for a walk in the neighborhood in our carriers before we even ate our Thanksgiving dinner. Both boys fell asleep and we had quite a walk back up the hill carrying a bit more than our own weight. It was such a nice day for a walk in the neighborhood followed by a little time on the playground.

Alexander isn't much of a napper unless you hold him so Brad was more than happy to snuggle with the little guy and take a nap after eating.

Andrew was all smiles and is such a happy baby.

It was quite a busy day with Julia not feeling 100% so the apple pie didn't get made until after we ate our Thanksgiving dinner. It actually wasn't a bad thing since we got to enjoy it more since we weren't so full. Julia enjoyed rolling the dough for the pie and says she needs a rolling pin for her kitchen. She definitely loves to help me when I'm cooking!

Julia Kimberly Brown with her Aunt Kimberly who she is named after. I'm really lucky to have such a great sister! There are many things we're thankful for this year but most importantly our health and each other. We hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Andrew and Alexander

My sister, brother-in-law, and nephew Alexander got into town on Wednesday morning for Thanksgiving and for Andrew's baptism. Alexander and Andrew are only about 6 months apart so I'm sure they're going to love playing together as they get older. Alexander was such a cutie crawling all around the house and checking things out!

Andrew and Alexander had fun hanging out together. I think it was nice for both of them to see someone else about the same size as them. Alexander enjoyed climbing over Andrew but he better watch out the next time we see them since Andrew will be ready for payback.

Such a cute picture of Andrew and Alexander playing in Andrew's room.

Potty Time!

This past Monday we started potty training Julia. I've wanted to start for a while but the timing just wasn't right. In September I wasn't ready and we were so busy in October and then November came and Julia was sick for about 2 weeks. Once she got better I thought I need to do it now or it won't get done until after the holidays and Julia was clearly showing many signs of being ready to wear underwear. We decided to stay home all week so we could focus on using the potty. On Monday morning we had three accidents and then the afternoon went great. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday we only had one accident. On Friday and Saturday we didn't have any accidents and on Sunday she started telling us that she had to use the bathroom instead of us asking or just making her sit every 30-45 minutes to try. After using the bathroom she always gets to put a Sesame Street sticker on her chart that Daddy found at CVS and she gets 2 M&M's. When she has to go she says, "The pee pees are coming." She's been doing so great and we're so proud!
