Sims Lake Park

We're continuing our weekly meet up with Julia's best friend from school Grace. Today we met up at another park and we're having a blast checking out some parks we don't normally visit.  Today we went to Sims Lake Park which I heard they recently covered so now there's a bit of shade and you could go to the lake and feed the ducks too.  I came prepared with lunch as well as bread for the ducks.

The girls had fun swinging on the tire swing for quite a while.  Good thing they managed to figure out how to swing themselves by moving their bodies.

Julia loved all the swinging.

The three girls were quite silly while swinging but I guess that's what happens when girls get together.

Andrew enjoyed a slide which was just the right size for him.

We had lots of fun feeding the ducks.  I showed Andrew how to rip of a small piece of bread and throw it to the ducks and the first thing he did with the bread when I gave it to him was take a bite of it.  Apparently he was ready for lunch.

Julia and Andrew loved feeding the ducks.

Sometimes he gave the ducks really big pieces of bread but they didn't seem to mind.

There was even a little turtle coming up for some bread and some fish too.

It was such a beautiful day and a great day to visit the park.

Julia and Andrew relaxing on these little seats on the playground.

Andrew sat down and immediately said I wake up.

Back to visit the ducks again but without any bread this time.

A fun little rope to walk across is something new and different at this park that you don't see often.  Definitely a great exercise for Julia with balance.

Andrew had fun climbing up on this small teeter totter.

Back at home and relaxing a little while Andrew was napping.  We were at the park for 3 1/2 hours so we were ready for some chillin' out.
