Pensacola Beach - Day 1

We're off and ready for our beach vacation for 2013.  We headed to Pensacola Beach to spend the week with my sister and her family and we were so excited!  Andrew was watching some Chuggington on the IPAD to keep entertained for our 6 hour road trip which turned out to be seven since we stopped three times to give the kids a chance to stretch.

I bought Peter Pan before our trip so Julia enjoyed watching that since she's never seen it.  There were even points on the car trip where Andrew was using the IPAD, Julia was using the DVD player and I was listening to the radio and nobody was using headphones...kinda crazy I know.

We were all so excited to get to our place which was right on the beach.  Such a great location for a week at the beach with two kids.  So thankful Brad's relative let us stay at her beach house.  Julia and Andrew had fun running around and checking out the house as we started to unpack.

Such a great view for the week and only a three minute walk to the beach.

So happy!

Sweet girl ready for our beach week.

They were very excited once Alexander arrived and were happy to play together.

Great view out our table.

Everyone was ready for an evening walk on the beach and Andrew was the first one to fall in the water and get wet.  He was holding Aunt Kim's hand and the waves were much stronger than we expected.  No worries because many others got wet too and Julia was trying to get wet.

The boys had fun playing in the sand too.

Just giggling as the waves came crashing up on his feet.

Julia and Alexander slept in the same room and loved it.  It took a while for them to fall asleep the first night and I wasn't sure it was going to work it but it did and it turned out to be one of her favorite things about our trip.  Looking forward to a great week!
