Sope Creek Hike

With our beautiful fall weather lately we decided to go for a hike.  Thomas suggested hiking up Sawnee Mountain which is close to our house but I was more interested in checking out somewhere new.  I saw an article recently about hikes around Atlanta and from that article we found a link to another article and found Sope Creek Park.  It was farther from our house but well worth it!  We had such a fun time together exploring a new park.  Julia and Andrew love having their own hiking sticks!

Leading the way!

Being a little brave and walking out on a limb with the kids.

I hope nobody falls in.

Made it all the way out to the end.

Family selfie on our hike!

Cute little bridge along our hike.

Checking out the pond and look at the reflection of the trees in the water.

Look at this photo taken by Julia...not bad!  She definitely captured our time relaxing and looking at the water.

We made it to the stream of running water....so pretty!

Daddy helping the kids get out to a rock.

Stranded on a rock surrounded by water.

Checking out some old buildings.

Pretty cool hike and not too far from home.  All ready to hike back to the car!  Worst part of the day was when Julia stepped in water and was busy complaining about having a wet foot but good thing it was towards the end of the day.

  1. I'm glad no one Fallon the pond. Cute selfie of the family. Bill and I love to go exploring in the parks around Central New York.
