Pumpkin Picking and Pumpkin Decorating

Since Andrew already went to Kinsey Family Farms for a field trip with school we decided to go to a local church and pick our pumpkins there this year.  It's actually the church where Andrew played soccer so we were happy to support their pumpkin sale.

That's one big pumpkin!

Sweet Julia using those muscles.

Andrew's turn to pick up a pumpkin.  What a handsome boy!

Trying to find the perfect pumpkin.

This pumpkin looks like a keeper.

Could she get any cuter?

Julia is truly growing up right before my eyes.  She just doesn't look like a 6 year old to me.  She is so happy with the cooler weather so she can wear her boots everyday!  She LOVES her boots!

My silly little guy who truly makes us laugh and smile daily!

Looks like we've got our pumpkins.

I honestly could have taken a million pictures of Julia...she just looked so beautiful!  I never thought we'd be sharing clothes this early but she is wearing my scarf and it looks amazing with her outfit.

Back at home and ready to decorate our pumpkins.  Instead of carving our pumpkins this year we're using some stickers to decorate them.  Andrew is turning his pumpkin into a monster with the help of Daddy.

Hard at work on decorating his pumpkin.

Julia is turning her pumpkin into Minnie Mouse but first she wanted to paint her pumpkin.

Another cute kiddo hard at work!

Putting on the horns because after all monsters have horns, right?

Concentration!

Super cute, right?

He thinks his pumpkin turned out quite well and I think so too!  He's quite proud!

Julia is working on assembling Minnie Mouse's face.

Look at that cute hat but more importantly check out the girl modeling it.

The next day Julia was able to add the Minnie Mouse face to her pumpkin once the paint was dry.

Julia's pumpkin turned out quite cute as well.  We'll definitely have to use stickers to decorate pumpkins again...the kids loved doing it.

  1. Those were very unique pumpkin decorating ideas. I love the pictures of each one of the kids when they had their own pumpkin picked out.
