Andrew was such a good boy and stayed pretty still while Thomas used the clippers and cleaned it up a bit. Now his hair looks a lot like Thomas' with being short on the sides and back and a little longer on top. I actually think Andrew looks a little older now that he's had his haircut. Another big milestone on Sunday was that one of Andrew's front bottom teeth broke through. Everyday he's becoming more and more like a toddler and less and less like a baby.

Andrew's First At Home Haircut
On Sunday Thomas gave Andrew his first haircut. The sides were getting long and starting to grow over his ears so we thought he could use a little trim.

Julia's Birthday Party
We had Julia's birthday party on Saturday with her friends at the house. Julia decided to invite Cole and Sunny from our playgroup, Caroline, Whitney, and Liam from our neighborhood, Scout whose parents worked with Mommy, and Reagan from her ballet class. She wanted to invite two other girls from ballet but we just didn't think we would have the room for everybody. These are the cute goody buckets for her friends filled with a banana, Curious George fruit snacks, m&m's, and a Curious George necklace. Julia helped me put the buckets together for her friends.
When we decided it was going to be a Curious George party I looked online and found these cute monkey cupcakes. I figured I could make them and they turned out great...don't you think?
The birthday girl along with Elmo in the pink and blue car seat from the American Girl store that she got from Nana and Papa for her birthday. She loves this car seat and brings it everywhere. Later that evening I found out from Thomas that she carried it into Publix when she went with Daddy and Andrew before the party. Picture this...Thomas carrying Andrew in his car seat with one hand and holding Julia's hand with the other and then Julia carrying her car seat with her other hand..so cute!
The kids really enjoyed the Curious George book - Curious George Goes to a Chocolate Factory.
Everyone had fun playing Bingo. For many it was their first time playing Bingo but it went very well. Thomas made a cute Curious George Bingo game that was a hit!
Julia did great at her first game of Bingo. Actually she was one of the first kids at the party to get a Bingo.
Sunny was the other kid who had Bingo at the same time as Julia. Sunny takes ballet at Cumming Dance Academy too except she goes on Saturdays. Hopefully they'll be in the same class next year.
I met Cole's Mommy at storytime at the library and found out she organizes a Mommy and Me Playgroup. Soon after Julia and I started going to the playgroup and met many other great girls and their kids. She has another little boy who was born in August so only 2 1/2 months younger than Andrew. Such fun to be raising our kids together.
For some unknown reason Liam decided he didn't need to use his hands to eat his cupcake. His face got messy but not his hands.
Whitney is such a cutie who lives down the street...she needs to finish the fruit snack in her mouth before she eats her cupcake.
Caroline is Julia's friend from down the street. She is two weeks older than Julia and she is her favorite dancing partner when we go to concerts during the summer.
Reagan (and her brother Tristan) is in Julia's ballet class and happens to live down the street as well.
Andrew was exhausted but didn't want to miss the party..too much excitement. I love how he's snuggling right into his Daddy!
Julia and Scout saying goodbye to some of her friends. Of course she's carrying around the car seat.
After everyone left Mommy, Daddy and Julia played Bingo and Julia was the caller. It was so cute to see her be the caller.
Julia and I went for a walk but it was pretty short since it was a bit cooler than I expected. Again we brought Elmo in the car seat along too! She seriously would have slept with car seat if we allowed it.
Julia wanted to take Elmo for a ride in her car and since he's a baby he needed to be in his car seat. The only problem was her car was too small and the car seat didn't fit. However, she was determined to see if she could make it fit. It was such a great day and we're so thankful for all of Julia's friends since she talks about them often. Thanks to all her friends and their families for spending part of your Saturday with us and making it an extra special day for our little girl.

Julia Turns Three 1/26/12
For many it was a dreary day but not for us! It was such a great day as we celebrated Julia's 3rd birthday.
Mommy and Daddy woke up Julia by coming in her room with 3 balloons, a present, and singing Happy Birthday before Daddy had to go to work. Soon after Andrew woke up and we enjoyed some playtime on her bed.
Julia loved her balloons! I asked her why we gave her three balloons and she said because I'm three.
We thought it would be fun to have lunch with Daddy so Julia, Andrew, and I went to Publix to get a sub and went to Daddy's office. We brought along one present to open too! It was a dress for Chloe from the American Girl store.
It was a nice treat for Julia to have lunch with Daddy at work. While we were driving home she said the next time I go to Daddy's work I want to go upstairs. Andrew had fun trying to grab everything on the table as I was trying to eat my lunch.
Daddy and his little girl! I bet he never thought he would enjoy playing with dolls and girl things as much as he does but there's one thing for sure - Julia loves playing with her Daddy. Daddy even wore his pink tie that I bought for him after our little girl was born and he wears it every year on her birthday.
I just can't believe Julia is three! She really is such a sweet girl! She wanted a cookie cake for her birthday since we're having cupcakes at her party on Saturday. She loved it when we sang Happy Birthday!

Outside Fun
A little while ago I bought Julia a tutu that was on sale at Gymboree Outlet and I was so excited since it was only $10 bucks. I though for sure she would love it since it was pink but she said she didn't want it so I brought it back. I then decided if I brought her to the store to pick one out herself she'd want to wear it. So on Tuesday morning we went to the store and she picked out such a cute tutu. After we got home Andrew took a nap and it was so nice outside that we decided to go outside and play. Julia does such a great job of pretend play and when we were playing outside she decided to drive Curious George to the tutu store to pick out a tutu. It was so cute as she was driving him in her car and I was the worker at the tutu store. What fun!
Julia and Curious George are on their way to the tutu store. They're on a mission to find the perfect tutu for Curious George.
We even got to take a tiny walk...not too far since we had the monitor so we could listen for Andrew.

First Bath in Big Tub
I decided it was time to move out of the baby tub and into the big tub since Andrew was getting bigger. Each time I washed his hair water would get all over the counter and he would get water everywhere by splashing. He did great in the big tub and Julia enjoyed watching. It was much harder since I had to hold on to him at all times since it's slippery. I think I may just put his baby tub in the big tub for a while instead.
Eating a Puff
The other night at dinner we decided to give Andrew some puffs. He did such a great job of picking them up and getting them in his mouth. He really enjoyed having something to eat while we were eating our dinner and we had so much fun watching him eat on his own.
Sometimes the puff would come out and we'd help him get it back in his mouth or he'd get it back in his mouth by himself. So cute!

Good Morning!
We're so fortunate that we don't have to wake Julia up early to get her ready so we can both go to work and everyday we're reminded of this and it's so nice. Julia isn't one who wakes up and gets rights out of bed. She enjoys lying there for a bit and then getting up...just like me. A huge thanks to Thomas for working hard to support our family...I can't imagine missing all this time with Julia and Andrew. This morning Julia was was being silly and took off her pajamas and lied back down so I threw a blanket over her since it was a little chilly. Our little love bug has a queen size bed and for whatever reason she insists on sleeping on top of the pillows. However, when she takes a nap she only lies her head on the pillow and not her whole body. Such a silly girl!
