Dance Picture Day

Another year of dance is almost over and today was picture day for these two cuties.  Since Julia and Grace are not in the same school anymore we got them into the same dance class so they would still see each other weekly.  These two preschool BFF's look so cute in their tap costumes.

This is definitely my favorite dance costume she's had thus far and Julia loves it too.

Doesn't she look so cute?  Love this little girl!

Mother's Day

My choice for Mother's Day was to go up to Blue Ridge and go strawberry picking so that's just what we did.  It was a great day spending time with my family!  I'm so lucky to be a mom to these two cuties!

Family photo before we head out to the field to pick strawberries.

Little did we know that each person who went into the field had to pick a gallon of strawberries.  Let's just say Thomas and I did a ton of picking while Julia and Andrew did a ton of eating.  Actually Julia helped pick a lot but Andrew not so much.

He mostly ate them!  Hey after all we needed someone to taste test them, right?

Julia checking out one of the gallons of strawberries!  I must say there is nothing better than fresh strawberries!  Afterwards we went to downtown Blue Ridge and found a great sandwich place for a late lunch.  It was such a great way to spend Mother's Day!

Last Soccer Game

We've all had a lot of fun with Andrew playing soccer this year.  The season was just over 2 months but Andrew enjoyed playing his first sport.  He was definitely the youngest on the team and he wasn't the fastest but he always ran a ton at the games.  Here he is kicking off during his last game.

He was excited to get his first ever trophy.  How cute is that?

After the last game they had a celebration complete with donuts too.

Even Julia wore orange for his last game!  Congrats to Andrew for a fun soccer season!

Sprinkler Fun

I can't think of anything better to do after Field Day than to run through the sprinkler and cool off. Summer is almost here!

Field Day

Field Day is always a fun day and I am so happy I was able to join Julia and watch her complete the different activities!  Each grade level was a different color and Kindergarten was yellow.  Julia and Haleigh are all ready to start the activities.

Julia's class.  She is the last one in the back row standing on the right.  You could buy a shirt for $11 but Julia decided not to spend her allowance on that since you only wear it for one day.  Plus, she's not a t-shirt type girl.

The first activity was chicken football which including doing rock, paper, scissor to determine who would pick up the chicken and run.

Next up was hopping with a ball between your legs.  Julia actually did much better than I would have thought based on her past muscle issues.  It definitely made me smile to see how good she did.

Balancing an egg relay race was fun too.

This was probably my favorite activity they did at field day.  Working with a partner to balance a ball between two paddles.

Julia and her best friend in her class Haleigh were partners and had multiple turns and tried different things each time.

Hula hooping!

Even Andrew got in on the fun with the hula hoop.

Andrew was so funny helping pull the cooler from station to station.  He's such a gentlemen and always offered to help out.

Dribbling a ball...Julia enjoyed this one but we could definitely use some practice.

My handsome little guy who spent the day with me watching Julia at field day and even getting to participate in a few activities.

I think this was at the last activity and Julia looks wiped out to me.  It was a hot day to be running around but we all had fun!

Mother's Day Tea

Celebrating Mother's Day with this handsome boy at his school was a special treat for me.

You're bound to have a good time with this little guy.  Although I must say he got upset with me at the tea because I took off some of his icing from his cupcake.  It was piled up just as tall as the cupcake...too much icing but he got over it and enjoyed the cupcake and half of the icing.

These questionnaires are always so cute!  I'm forever grateful that Andrew thinks I'm good at cooking dinner like spaghetti.  I feel absolutely blessed to be a stay at home mom and I'm so fortunate to be around to do things like this for my kids.

Part of Andrew's class after the Mother's Day Tea.  I had a great time celebrating Mother's Day with my little guy at his school.
