Field Day

Field Day is always a fun day and I am so happy I was able to join Julia and watch her complete the different activities!  Each grade level was a different color and Kindergarten was yellow.  Julia and Haleigh are all ready to start the activities.

Julia's class.  She is the last one in the back row standing on the right.  You could buy a shirt for $11 but Julia decided not to spend her allowance on that since you only wear it for one day.  Plus, she's not a t-shirt type girl.

The first activity was chicken football which including doing rock, paper, scissor to determine who would pick up the chicken and run.

Next up was hopping with a ball between your legs.  Julia actually did much better than I would have thought based on her past muscle issues.  It definitely made me smile to see how good she did.

Balancing an egg relay race was fun too.

This was probably my favorite activity they did at field day.  Working with a partner to balance a ball between two paddles.

Julia and her best friend in her class Haleigh were partners and had multiple turns and tried different things each time.

Hula hooping!

Even Andrew got in on the fun with the hula hoop.

Andrew was so funny helping pull the cooler from station to station.  He's such a gentlemen and always offered to help out.

Dribbling a ball...Julia enjoyed this one but we could definitely use some practice.

My handsome little guy who spent the day with me watching Julia at field day and even getting to participate in a few activities.

I think this was at the last activity and Julia looks wiped out to me.  It was a hot day to be running around but we all had fun!

  1. All kids love Field Days. Thomas and Brian were no exception either. It's a nice celebration of the ending year and shows so much school spirit.
