Stone Mountain Park

Since we didn't do a birthday party this year for Andrew we decided to do something we wouldn't normally do on a Saturday our whole family would enjoy so we picked Stone Mountain.  We had such a fun day as a family and the kids loved doing all the great stuff Stone Mountain has to offer.  We had a busy day!

First up was riding the Summit Skyride to the top of the mountain and taking in all the sights.  You can actually walk up the mountain but we didn't think the kids would be up for that quite yet but definitely another time.

It was a beautiful day and the views from on top of the mountain were gorgeous.

Taking in all the sights.

Just chillin'.

Being silly.

She's such a pretty girl and super sweet too!

Our ride up and down the mountain.

They loved having a seat on the way down to really enjoy the sights.

All ready to Ride the Ducks.

Quackers and all.

Daddy and Julia looking like ducks!

Mommy and Andrew looking like ducks too.

A little deer we saw before going into the water.

Daddy and Julia got splashed when we went into the water but Andrew and I stayed nice and dry.

Julia thought it was hilarious and even said it was one of her favorite parts of the day.

She's still so pretty despite getting splashed.

The driver gave the kids a chance to drive the boat so Julia gave it a try.

Then of course Andrew wanted to do the same.

Such a fun ride we had!

Next up - miniature golf.

Daddy helping Andrew.

It was very comical watching Andrew golf...very cute indeed.  Many times he picks up his ball and put it close to the hole and then pushes it in with his club.

Cooling off after playing golf.

Almost ready for the train ride.

Someone was absolutely exhausted and fell asleep on the train and stayed asleep for a while.

We then went to the Skyhike where Julia first played on this obstacle course while Andrew was napping.

She did great going through the course.

Moving along.

Lots of different things which were great for Julia to do to help with balancing and strength building.

Now onto the real obstacle course...one that was about 12 feet high.  They walked across balance beams, wooden bridges, slats, etc to make their way through the course while being secured overhead.

We were so proud of how well Julia did especially since she's isn't that much of a dare-devil and obviously has some issues with balancing.

Thomas said this was one of the harder ones they did.

Go Julia!

After Andrew woke up I brought him to try out the obstacle course and he loved it too!

He needs to be a little taller to do the one where he is harnessed in.

Cooling off in the Geyser Tower before heading home.  Thankful for such a wonderful day!
