Halloween 2013

Happy Halloween from Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

Love how Julia always holds her dress up a little...being fancy.

Had to get a photo of Andrew's little tail...sad this is the only one I got but it will do.

On our way to a Halloween party in the neighborhood before we go trick-or-treating.

Andrew took of his costume for a little while and even bobbed for an apple.

Julia even gave it a try although the lady held the apple for them and they used their teeth to grab hold of the stem.  Not quite the original way to bob for apples but they both had fun.

Such a cute and happy Mickey Mouse ready to go trick-or-treating.

We're all set and ready to go.

Our first stop was Mr. Evan and Ms. Diana's house next door where we had a family photo taken.  I went back to the house to hand out candy and Thomas took them out for a while and then we switched.  We all had so much fun and both of the kids were very into trick-or-treating this year.

The look on Julia's face when she dumped out all her candy.

Andrew got just as much as Julia this year.

Julia even got a pink ring in her Halloween pumpkin this year and she was very happy with that treat.  The weather was great for trick-or-treating and the kids didn't even need to wear a coat just long sleeve shirts.  It was so fun for us to see their excitement...we all had such a fun time and hope you did too!

Fall Festival

Each year Julia's preschool has a Fall Festival and this year it happened to be on Halloween so we had a very busy day.  I love how I was able to coordinate their Halloween costumes this year since I know it may be the last year for that.  Julia decided a while back...maybe in May or June (after our Disney trip) she wanted to be Minnie Mouse for Halloween and I was trying to think of something Andrew liked and it came to me...Mickey Mouse.  He really isn't 'into' anything so I asked him if he wanted to be Mickey Mouse and he was very excited!  Julia and Andrew are standing in front of the scarecrows Julia's class made.  Each class makes something to decorate the path into school.

Even managed to get Andrew to wear his hat for a little bit so I could take a photo.

They start by doing a parade and sweet Julia waved and smiled when she saw me.

Such a cute Minnie Mouse...hopefully we'll go see Minnie Mouse again soon at Disney World.

Julia's class with her teachers after the parade and before the Fall Festival begins.

Grace as Sleeping Beauty and Julia as Minnie Mouse.  Actually Grace was Minnie Mouse last year.

The cute scarecrow Julia made for the Fall Festival.

Andrew loved eating the snacks at the Fall Festival.

Julia and her friend Reagan from her ballet/tap class.

They also got to decorate and eat a cookie and Andrew LOVED it and even wanted another one but one was plenty.

Sweet picture with the scarecrow decoration.

Before going on all the bounce houses and slides Julia changed so she wouldn't ruin her dress.  She loved the slide again this year and did it over and over again.

Andrew loved it too but would only do it with me.  So yes I climbed up the ladder and slid down many times.  Gotta love his facial expression...he LOVED it!

One of the bounce house he could do alone and he loved that too.  Such a great day for a Fall Festival filled with snacks, games, bounce houses and heaps of fun.  Julia and Grace spent the day together and we all had a picnic lunch afterwards.  What a fun morning!

Cuteness

This is pure cuteness at it's finest!  Julia and Andrew reading books together and Andrew is such a gentlemen at the age of 2 and puts his arm around Julia.  He's such a sweet boy who often does this with Thomas and myself when reading with him and I just love it!  He says I want to hold you...cute or what? Hope this gentlemen behavior continues as he gets older.

Pumpkin Painting and Carving

On Sunday we painted our pumpkins with paint markers and carved our pumpkins.  Julia decided to write Happy Halloween on her pumpkin along with her name and trace her hand and she drew a spider web.

Andrew just did some scribble scrabble as Julia calls it.

Putting the pumpkin seeds into a bowl.  Julia is not much a fan of touching the slimy inside of the pumpkin.  I agree it's kinda gross.

Andrew did a great job using the spoon to get the yucky inside cleaned out.

Julia decided she wanted a 'J' carved on her pumpkin this year.

Of course Andrew wanted what Julia wanted so he got an 'A.'

A little bit sad about not getting his way.  I think it's kinda cute so I took a photo.

Finished pumpkins for 2013.  Good job Thomas!

Finished painted pumpkins.  Julia did great writing Happy Halloween on her pumpkin especially since it's a little hard writing on a pumpkin.

Kinsey Family Farm Field Trip

We just had Julia's first field trip to Kinsey Family Farms and we had so much fun!  Julia and her best friend Grace at Kinsey Family Farms waiting to see what we're going to do first on the field trip.  It was definitely chilly in the morning but thankfully it warmed up.

It was so nice I was able to bring Andrew along too and he got to enjoy all the activities as well.

Love spending my days with these two kids...feeling very blessed.

Look at my little man looking grown up.

The first activity we did was listen to a story about pumpkins.  I had to snap a photo of Julia and Andrew holding hands as they were listening to the story.  Super sweet!

Next up we saw some bones from animals and then got to feed the animals but Julia didn't want to feed them so we watched the other kids instead.  I don't think she wanted a cow licking a cracker out of her hand and I totally don't blame her.

After that we got to help plant a tree.

Next up was a tractor ride to feed the catfish.  Andrew loved this part!

We were able to enjoy lunch with Grace and then the kids had a chance to run around.  Julia and Grace liked the funny faces on these pots which were along the fence.

Looking over at the field of trees.

And now with Grace.

Love this photo of these two sweet girls.

Handsome boy with the pumpkins.

Andrew liked riding in the wagon with the pumpkins.

Is she old enough to be going on her first field trip?  My sweet girl is growing up.

The more pumpkins the better.

Just being cute!

Here's the pumpkin Andrew is going to paint.

Julia was very excited to have her own little pumpkin.  She's going to paint this one with our paint markers very soon.

Love this photo with those big blue eyes.  We had such a fun time on the field trip and it was great being able to spend the day with Grace.
