After spending some time at the Grand Canyon in the morning and then driving a few hours back to Phoenix we checked into our resort which was AWESOME! The Arizona Grand Resort and Spa was our home for the next few days and it was amazing. We checked out the pool for a bit and then headed out to dinner. Our resort drove us there on a golf cart which the kids thought was fun.
We had them bring a treat and sing to Andrew since we didn't have any kind of dessert the day before for his real birthday. He's kinda in shock and wondering what is going on.
They had fried ice cream for the birthday treat which I've never had before.
Happy little guy who smiles all the time.
Making a wish for his 6th birthday. We love you Andrew!

Arizona...Day 3 and 4 Andrew's Birthday/Grand Canyon
We woke up in Sedona and it was Andrew's birthday. We each had one present to give him for his birthday. Dad got Andrew this Braves visor which he loved.
I got him some Mr. books.
And Julia got him this cool transformer called Brushfire which was kinda funny since we got stuck in traffic because of a brushfire. Happy 6th Birthday Andrew!
We drive about 2 hours to our next destination of Grand Canyon National Park.
The Grand Canyon views were amazing but hard to capture in a picture.
Team Brown on our walked near the Canyon.
Taking a rest. There was lots of waking and the kids did great.
Another family photo in front of the Grand Canyon.
Hanging out on a cool tree branch.
Another view.
Resting again...another chance to take a photo.
This one is pretty cool...kinda amazing when you think about it.
We had some tired kids...it was a lot.
Me and my little girl.
Someone left this fountain dripping just a little and this elk found it and was quenching its thirst. You might not want to fill your water bottle up there now.
We enjoyed a beautiful sunset at the Grand Canyon.
Another sunset photo.
Thomas brought the kids these glow sticks and they loved them. They even served as a night light at bedtime.
On our way back to our room for the night and we saw this huge elk on the side of the road.
So we turned around to get another look at it. Now it's crossing the street.
Close up photo of the elk...it was huge and just roaming around.
Next day and we're ready for a short hike down into the canyon on the Bright Angel Trail.
We saw these mules carrying dirt down to help maintain the trail.
Stopping for a rest while the mules passed.
Such a great view on our hike.
Cool little tunnel on the Bright Angel Trail.
On our way back up...obviously much more work than going down.
The mules were hard at work that day.
Relaxing after our hike and enjoying the shade.
Our last view of the Grand Canyon before heading back to Phoenix.

Arizona...Day 2 Sedona
Our favorite part of our trip to Arizona was the day went rented our Jeep Rubicon named Tiffany. We all had a blast exploring areas of the desert one wouldn't normally see if it weren't for renting a Jeep or going on a Jeep tour. We decided to rent one instead of a tour and we're so glad we did. We could go at our own pace and we got to see so much more for the same price.
Interesting looking cactus.
At one point we parked our jeep and went on a hike to Devil's Bridge.
Probably the best hike we've done but Julia was tired and not interested into going to the top but she hung in there and did it.
Cool place to take a break.
Andrew was amazing on this hike and was ready to go.
Resting and taking in the sights.
Absolutely amazing!
Great views all around.
More natural beauty.
Andrew taking a break. Sometimes there was a path and sometimes there were stairs.
So worth the hike...Devil's Bridge! Obviously, we held on tight to our kids on Devil's Bridge and kept them right by our side.
We were so thrilled we made it and didn't turn around too soon.
Just the boys.
Devil's Bridge in the background.
Making our way back down.
After the kids napped we headed back out for another Jeep ride to Broken Arrow.
I hopped out and ran ahead to take some photos to see what we were driving over.
Lots of cool photos.
This just gives an idea of the places we traveled.
This picture is so cool!
Another cool one of the jeep going over huge rocks.
Around the corner and Julia gives me a thumbs up.
This place is called Submarine Rock.
We had the whole place to ourselves for a while. Not another person in sight.
Feeling more energetic after a nap.
Scenery
Julia took this photo and she did quite well.
Just having fun.
Tiffany hanging out in the desert.
Enjoying our Arizona vacation.
Team Brown visits Sedona, Arizona.
Love these two kids. They were great travels and hikers even though we were all tired from a long day of traveling the day before.
More great views.
Hanging on the back of the jeep!
Of course Andrew wanted to hang on the back of the jeep too!
Andrew being sweet.
Jumping for joy.
Jumping for joy too!
The views were absolutely AMAZING!
Pushing the jeep just for fun.
Hello from Arizona.
What a great day we had and our vacation continues.
This is known as the stairs and yes we took our jeep down it. I videoed going down and I laughed the whole way...it was so much fun! Nice and slow!
Thomas did awesome driving our jeep and navigating the terrain and keeping us safe. The jeep ride was one of the best vacation things we've done as a family...so much fun and excitement.
