Handprint Painting

One day while Andrew was napping Julia decided she wanted to paint.  First she painted a picture and then she wanted to paint her hand and make a picture with her handprints.

She worked hard and I love the picture she made that I'm going to put it in her memory box.  I just keep thinking her hands won't be this small forever...awww my little girl is growing up.

Gary Pirkle Park

Last week we visited Gary Pirkle Park with Grace and had a blast!  It's such an awesome park and it's completely covered which provides such a great escape from the summer heat or a little summer shower.

Andrew hopped on this and it starting turning a bit and he was all smiles and giggles.

A visit to the park with Julia and Grace would not be complete without some swinging...these girls love to swing.

Julia was a bit hesitant to climb this but she did because she wanted to play with Grace.  She was scared and afraid she would fall through but she managed it just fine.

Andrew is always so wiped out after our park play dates and falls asleep on the way home.  Luckily I can transfer him into his crib once we get home without him waking up.  Another great visit to a Georgia park!

Andrew and the IPAD

I recently downloaded a few apps on the IPAD for Andrew to use.  Right now he's getting some practice with sorting colors.  He definitely enjoys using the IPAD.  It's pretty neat when you think about all the technology our kids will get to experience as they grow up...so much different from us.  

Splash Pad

We've been enjoying our summer and getting outdoors and having fun with water as much as we can despite how much rain we've had this summer.  We just made a trip to the splash pad the other day and it will probably be our last for the season.  Looking forward to visiting again next year.  I absolutely love watching Julia and Andrew having fun together.

Andrew really doesn't have much fear and does it all...Julia is much more reserved and never would have done this at his age.

Such a Fun Girl

Julia is such a fun girl to be around.  She loves making up songs and her latest one goes like this...If you give me a chance...I know what to do.  Don't quite know how she comes up with all these songs but she does and sings them constantly.  I just love it!

Learning to Cut

Seeing all the back to school stuff in stores got me thinking it might be a good idea to introduce scissors to Andrew.  Of course he's tried using Julia's when we accidentally left them on the table but thought it would be nice for him to have him own (and not pink).  He really wanted orange but they didn't have that color so he picked out green instead.  Here's my little lefty learning how to cut...such a big boy.  Oh and one more thing - he went pee pee on the potty tonight before bath.  Maybe diapers will become a part of my past sooner than I thought.  All the little things he does everyday that show he's not a baby but more of a big boy.  Makes me kinda sad my little guy is growing up way to fast for me.  :(

A Fun Morning

We're definitely enjoying our summer and our days with no where to be all that early.  Julia also enjoys sleeping in just like her mommy.  I finally woke her up about 9:15 since she was still sleeping (but then again the day before she was up at 7:30...so not like her).

After being silly they moved onto read books...lots of books.
