Legoland Florida

Ready for a fun Spring Break in Florida!  We're all set to enjoy Legoland Florida which we've heard great things about so we're excited to check it out for ourselves.

Checking out all the things made out of tiny legos.

An ice cream cone made out of legos.  No worries Julia's tongue isn't actually touching the legos.

More things made out of legos.

Andrew's favorite ride was called Ninjago.  He absolutely loved it!  You would get points and some how Andrew won almost every time. The first time we rode it my score was on the left and Andrew's score was on the right...he whooped me.

Making some Ninjago moves!

Ready for a roller coaster.

Fun little playground area outside the Ninjago ride.

Andrew's score is in blue and he wins again.

A peaceful little boat ride in a lego boat.

Fun little lego cars make it a perfect reason to stop and take a photo.  Doesn't he look so cute?

Julia's ready to go for a ride.  Too bad they're not real.

I want to go for a ride too!

Next stop is onto Ford Driving School and now these cars actually drive.

Julia and Andrew got to drive these little cars in a little town complete with stop signs, traffic lights, etc.  It was super cute!

Taking a little break from the heat and cooling off indoors and the kids got to add legos to this lego wall.

Such a fun boy sitting in a mound of legos.

Ready for another ride.

Julia and Andrew rode this ride alone and did great with pedaling which actually made your seat rise.

So fun for us to stand back and watch them have fun!

The Ford Mustang made from legos.  I can't even imagine how long it took to build that car.

Two little cuties waiting in line for another ride with their new lego figurines.

Next up was a little safari ride to check out all the animals made from legos.

Yes those giraffes are made out of legos.  Crazy to think how many legos it takes to build a life size giraffe.

Lions made out of legos.

Our cute safari cars.

Next up was a knight ride for Julia and Andrew.

Our fun little guy enjoying life.

Julia and Andrew riding together.

Andrew is a hot and sweaty mess after playing on a playground for a bit.

Julia is all hot too but not as sweaty as our little Andrew.  He gets sweaty!

Julia with the Lego friends.

I thought these Fun Facts were interesting.

Effiel Tower made from Legos.

The Statue of Liberty.  It was cool seeing this since just about 6 months earlier we took the kids to NYC and saw the Statue of Liberty in person.

The Millenium Falcon made from legos.  Andrew liked all the Stars Wars stuff.

ATAT.

Julia hugging R2D2.

Andrew and Daddy hanging out with the lego Darth Vader.

The ninja Kia from the show Ninjago.

All aboard the Ninjago ride at Legoland.

Andrew showing his ninja moves with the ninja Lloyd.

All his ninja moves make me smile.

Andrew and Julia with Sensei Wu and their unique poses.

We had to get a photo in front of Andrew's favorite ride.

Complete with ninja moves.

Julia's favorite ride was a roller coaster where your feet hung down called Flying School.

My little cutie ready to ride her favorite ride.

In front of the Legoland Hotel.  We didn't stay there since it was $500 a night but we went in to check it out.

With the Legoland man inside the Legoland Hotel.

Checking out a bed made from legos in the lobby.

Definitely a fun day and we're so glad we came.  The park wasn't busy at all and we had a blast!

Julia's Book Report

Julia did an awesome job on her book report for school.  She chose The Day the Crayons Came Home.  I love how she decided to organize her tri-fold board and I absolutely loved going into her class and seeing her present her book report.

Tree Climbing

This little guy has been enjoying climbing our tree that Thomas cut back for the winter.  Yes, it's February and he's wearing shorts.  We always get some warm days in the winter which is only one of the reasons I love living in the south.  You can see Julia in the corner looking and I bet you can guess who wanted a turn next.

Father/Daughter Dance

Father/Daughter dance is definitely a favorite night for Julia.  She always looks forward to it and never wants the night to end.

It was great that she got to wear her flower girl dress again since she loved it and it looked great on her.

 Good looking father/daughter couple.

Andrew is all ready to go on a date with Mommy after getting a picture with his beautiful sister.  Look at him wearing a tie for our date...such a gentleman.

 She is so beautiful!

Another great photo of beautiful Julia.

A few photos with some fun expressions.

Another one of her great expressions.

She really is such a beautiful girl.

Wow!  Thomas and Julia had a blast and went to the Chill Hill afterward with some other father/daughter couples for ice cream after the dance.  It was definitely a memorable night for the two of them.

Julia's Birthday Party

To celebrate Julia's 8th birthday we took a few friends to see A Dog's Purpose.  Since we arrived early Julia and Ansley were watching the trailer for the movie in the car.  Julia is thrilled to be celebrating with her friends!

A quick photo after seeing A Dog's Purpose.  It was a good movie but we had some tears from a few of the girls...especially Julia.  Back row we have Ava (Grace's sister), Landry Rose (Julia's best friend in her second grade class), and Grace (best friend from 3 year old preschool).  In the front row we have Calder (he was in Julia's first grade class and had a crush on her and she thought he was cute too), Andrew, Julia, and then Ansley (lives across the street).

Another quick photo walking from the movie on the way to Mellow Mushroom for dinner.  I think all the kids loved walking around The Collection with friends.  Such a big kid thing to do!

We hung out at Barnes and Noble for a bit while waiting for our table.

Look at all those great smiles waiting for our table at Mellow Mushroom.  Such a great group of kids!

Definitely a bunch of silly kids!

Hanging out and chatting while waiting for our pizza.

Yummy cookie cake to celebrate Julia!

All ready for us to sing Happy Birthday!

All smiles and thinking of a wish!  Andrew sure enjoyed having another boy around.

Making a wish on her 8th birthday!

Hanging out and waiting for Calder's parents to pick him up.  Calder, Julia, Landry Rose, and Ansley.

Walking back to the car and stopping for one last photo opportunity.  We drove Landry Rose and Ansley home and Julia loved spending that extra time with two of her friends as they were singing and dancing on the car ride home.  We're so thankful for such a fun night with Julia and some of her friends.  Everyone was very sweet and well mannered, it was great!  Happy Birthday to our sweet girl, Julia!

Ear Piercing

Julia has been wanting her ears pierced for a while now so we told her she could get them done for her birthday.  She was so excited...a little nervous but very excited!  Picking out her first pair of earnings added to the fun.

Waiting while the lady was getting everything ready.

Ready or not here we go.

Before you knew it the first one was done.

Checking them out and looking quite happy with them.

Listening to some directions about taking care of them.

She chose the daisy flower with a little pink in the middle...so very cute.  Julia was very brave and didn't cry or even scream.  The only thing she did was squeeze my hand.  I can't believe it my little girl has her ears pierced and growing up right before my eyes.

Teddy Bear Parade for Andrew

Andrew's preschool always has a Teddy Bear Parade for the 4K and 5K kids which is always fun!  This year Andrew is all decked out in Star Wars gear from his pajamas to his float.

Daddy and Andrew worked hard making their float and of course it's the X-Wing fighter from Star Wars.  I must say it came out awesome and Thomas is much more creative than me at making these floats.  The boys had fun doing this project together!

Andrew and his good friend Chase.

Andrew was quite excited about bringing his X-Wing fighter to school!

My only contribution to this project were the stickers that say Star Wars.  Definitely a fun event for the kids and our last Teddy Bear Parade since Andrew will be in Kindergarten next year.
