Easter

Ready for Easter with two Easter baskets for two sweet kids.

Julia's basket was filled with a sticker book, a camper lego set, Shopkins book, some candy and a few new Shopkins.

Andrew's basket was filled with a sticker book, two small Star Wars lego sets, two Star Wars figurines, colored pencils, some candy and a few new Shopkins.

The kids were excited to find their baskets and the eggs.

This year the Easter bunny left clues they had to follow to find their baskets.

Super fun lego set.

Andrew loved putting together his new legos.  He's getting really good at following the directions and putting together the little lego sets.

Julia loved putting together her lego set which was almost 300 pieces.  Both kids spent most of the morning working on their lego sets.

The kids loved dying their eggs but they were reluctant to eat some of them since they were so pretty.  Hope you had an enjoyable Easter!

7 hour visit

My brother happened to be in South Carolina for a wedding and was able to come and visit us for the day.  He rang the doorbell and surprised the kids.  Julia wouldn't open the door and all she said was 'Why is Uncle Chris here?'  The kids were thrilled to have them spend the day with us but really wanted them to spend the night too.  My kids really like my brother!  He plays with them a ton and acts silly so they love it.

We enjoyed some snacks, played Shopkins, games, colored, watched a silly show, ate dinner and just enjoyed spending time together.  So glad they made the extra drive to spend the day with us!

Avalon Egg Hunt

The Avalon did such a great job with Santa around Christmas time that I thought it was worth it to check out their Easter Egg Hunt.  Each kid could find 10 eggs and then turn them in for a bag of treats and there were even a few golden eggs hidden but we never found one of those.  My kids were a bit timid and didn't really run after the eggs but still managed to find 10.

There were tons of eggs in different locations so I guess it wasn't a big deal if they didn't run after them.

Now Andrew is on the move finding his 10 eggs.

Exhausted

Someone didn't get as much sleep as normal when she had strep throat and was exhausted.  Even though she was feeling better and back to school she actually feel asleep after school the first two days she went back.  She must have been wiped out to fall asleep at the table.  I would have chosen the couch instead.

Andrew's Easter Egg Hunt

The annual Easter Egg Hunt at the preschool is always such fun!  Little Andrew being silly before the egg hunt started.

We love how Daddy works so close to the preschool and he's often able to attend these special events.
