Easter

Happy Easter everyone!  We had a great Easter with Nana and Papa visiting us from New York.  They arrived the night before Easter and Julia was so excited about their visit.  She took a nap on Saturday so she could stay up late and surprise Nana and Papa at the airport.  I think they were shocked to see her since they didn't expect to see her until Easter morning.  Of course Andrew woke up early and we waited until Julia got up to find their baskets and go on the egg hunt.  The Easter bunny was nice to Andrew and brought him some Legos along with some new cars and a truck book along with a few treats.  Julia was real sweet and helped Andrew find his basket which was in the dining room.  Too excited to get dressed so we did the Easter activities in their jammies.

Julia found her basket quickly and the Easter bunny brought her some doll crafts, book, outfit for her baby, stickers and a few treats too.

Andrew loves his new little matchbox cars.

Julia was very good at finding the eggs and even hid this egg again so Andrew could find it.

Andrew even put a rolo in his mouth without taking off the wrapper.  We've got to watch him...he's real quick!

Julia and Andrew after mass.  Gotta love her pose.

Nana and Papa with Julia and Andrew.

Thomas already changed before I could take some photos so just me and my kiddos.

Andrew is all smiles.  Love this kid to pieces!  He has such a fun personality and just a happy little guy.

Andrew immediately loved Papa as I knew he would.  I really wasn't surprised since Andrew is such a big fan of Thomas.

Playing with all the eggs.  Hope you had a wonderful Easter!

Coloring Eggs with Sunny

On Friday we went to a friends house to play and color Easter eggs.  Julia and Sunny are about a month apart and one of Julia's good friends.  We love Sunny and her family and love how the girls are into the same things...princesses, ballerinas, crafts and all things girly.  Julia was very excited about coloring eggs this year that we actually colored some more at home on Easter afternoon.

 Sweet Sunny.

 The girls had a blast!

Hard at work creating a masterpiece!

 Another masterpiece in the making!

 Admiring her egg.

Two girls dressed in princess dresses coloring Easter eggs..such fun times.  Thanks so much Sally...Julia loves to play with Sunny.

Julia's Egg Hunt at School

Today was the Easter Egg Hunt at Julia's school and she was very excited!  No need to bring your own basket since they made these cute bunny bags to hold their eggs.  Julia and her very best friend Grace from school.  We just adore Grace...she's such a sweet girl and so is her family.

The kids had to find the 12 eggs with their name on them.  Such a great way to make an egg hunt last a little longer and practice their name too.  It was a bit chilly (50) but such a sunny day.

Julia did great at finding her eggs and yes that's Thomas in the background helping Andrew find some eggs too.  The teachers let us send in 12 eggs for any siblings who wanted to participate.  It was so nice having Andrew hunt for eggs too.

Julia loved the egg hunt and I love her bunny bag she made...isn't it cute?

Julia and Grace after the egg hunt.

Andrew enjoying one of the treats in one of his eggs.  We're so thankful for Cumming First Baptist Church Preschool....it's such a great place for Julia.

Sweet, Sweet Julia

No picture to post but tonight as I was going out after dinner to do some shopping Julia was so sweet as  we were saying our good-byes and said, "I love you more than I can think!"  Had to post it as it just made me smile...it was the sweetest thing I heard all day.  Thanks love bug!

Getting Ready for Easter

Last week we got Julia's Easter Eggs ready for the Easter Egg Hunt at school and of course that sparked an interest in doing egg hunts at our house.  Julia had fun sharing the exra treats with her 'friends' while Andrew was naping one day.

Watching Daddy

A week and a half ago Thomas cut the lawn for the first time this season and Julia and Andrew loved watching him from inside.  Whenever Thomas would go out of sight Andrew would say 'Where's Dada?'  Meanwhile the three of us had fun indoors with a snack and watched Daddy work while staying away from all the grass clippings in the air...definitely not good for those with allergies.

Julia had fun posing for the camera.  She's such a cutie!

Love those big blue eyes.

Future Planning Director?

A few weeks ago we visited Daddy at his office for a special pizza lunch.  Andrew enjoyed getting into everything as usual and Julia had fun looking around and checking things out too.  Looks like Andrew had a few phone calls to make too.

He's one strong guy carrying lots of heavy plans.  If you ask me he's ready for on the job training.

So sweet!

Julia is just the sweetest 4 year old I know and obviously I'm biased but she does so many kind things that it makes me smile and my heart melt.  Both Julia and Andrew are fans of fruit snacks just like most other kids and Andrew always gobbles his down as fast as he can as if we're going to take them away from him and Julia eats them at a much slower pace.  Hence Andrew always finishes his first and Julia always shares what she has left with him.  It hasn't just happened once or twice but probably most every time. It can be fruit snacks or some other kind of dessert but she always shares with him or Thomas and myself.  It's always so sweet and ever so kind and thoughtful.  I hope she continues this great character trait as she gets older!

Andrew 21 months old

Can it be true?  My little baby is 21 months and as each day passes he gets closer and closer to two years old.  Wait....can we just freeze time for just a bit?  I don't want him growing up too fast he's my baby....we'll maybe not so much a baby anymore but handsome as ever. Love this little guy and his personality.  He is on the go and full of life!

Sight Words

It's always nice having one on one time with Julia and lucky for us that happens everyday while Andrew takes his afternoon nap.  I always try and get in some kind of learning time during Andrew's nap but that doesn't always happen and that's okay too.  It's the perfect time for us to work on letters, numbers and of course learning how to read or do a craft without having to worry about Andrew getting into the supplies.  We sure love our little guy but he loves to get into everything!  Here Julia is working on sight words on, and, the and is.  These words appear in her Bob books that we're reading so I decided those were a great start.  Julia can read the first handful of Bob books (with little help) and we're SO proud!
