Another fun day on the beach and Andrew is doing some more shoveling!
Love this cute little smiley boy!
This girl loves the sand!
My favorite picture of Julia from our week at the beach!
Andrew played on this bucket for a while and it totally reminded me of Karate Kid. Love this little guys fun personality.
Great balancing!
Playing in the waves!
Julia having fun jumping the waves!
Fun times!
Ready to boogie board on her own board!
Catching some good waves on her own!
Lunch on the deck...yes, please!
Enjoying a frozen treat on this hot day.
See this little guy is just simply fun to be around!

Santa Rosa Beach...Day 1
Our first day at the beach also happened to be Father's Day...lucky dad! The kids were so excited about their gifts to Thomas which were swim shorts and a pair of sneakers. Happy Father's Day to the greatest dad around!
Then we got ready for the beach! Julia was being silly with the sunscreen and gave herself a beard.
Little brother Andrew had to copy Julia and gave himself a moustache. Silly kids! Glad to say Andrew woke up feeling much better today and was ready for a day at the beach.
A day at the beach...what a great way to spend Father's Day!
I love the excitement of getting into the ocean for the first time since last years beach trip!
All smiles!
Andrew started to dig right away.
Giggles and giggles!
Taking a second to take a photo!
Sandy girl!
Andrew making his own drip castle!
Julia checking out the boogie board.
Andrew loves the waves crashing up on him.
Catching some good waves on the boogie board.
Definitely feeling much better!
Pure happiness.
Andrew is fearless in the ocean and doesn't mind the waves crashing up against him. He just laughs!
Before Andrew took apart our umbrella.
All worn out from the beach! Taking a little nap before dinner!
For dinner we headed to Seaside and went to Great Southern Cafe which we went to last year and enjoyed another great meal.
Daddy and his little girl except she's not so little anymore. She's growing up rather quickly right in front of our eyes.

Santa Rosa Beach Bound
On our way to Santa Rosa Beach for the week and we're all so excited despite Andrew being a little under the weather. Hopefully he'll be feeling much better tomorrow and nobody else gets his cold. I looked back in the car and Julia looked as pretty as ever...love this sweet girl!
We stopped to get gas and use the bathroom and the kids got these maps.
We're almost there and our little navigators were great helpers to us in the last leg of the trip with their maps. Ready for a week of sun, sand and waves!

Splash Pad
Most often we have play dates for Julia but now that Andrew started school he's met a friend named Grant and wants to have his own play dates. We've had a few other play dates with Grant but this time we went to the Splash Pad. It was a hot day and Andrew had a blast with his friend.
Grant has an older sister who is one year older than Julia so it's worked out nice that she has someone to play with too! Julia and Sarah Ashley had fun together too!
Great way to cool off!
Cute boys having fun on a hot day!
Andrew cracks me up with these goggles!

Learning Time
We're having a great summer doing lots of fun things but we're also squeezing in some learning time too. Julia and Andrew are hard at work in their summer learning books.
$1.00 Movies and Park Play date
Every summer the local movie theaters play past kid movies and since we rarely go to the movies they are ones we haven't seen. Today we saw Paddington which was super cute in these comfy reclining seats at the brand new Avalon for only $1.00 each. Such a great deal!
Afterwards we went to Gary Pirkle Park with some friends for some playtime on a super hot summer day but luckily the playground was covered and we were in the shade. Julia doesn't usually climb the spider web but she gave it a shot for a bit today and did great.
Andrew was doing good on the web today too! Not many people at the park...I guess it was too hot for most people even in the shade.

Vacation Bible School
Julia had another great year at Vacation Bible School and she even knew one of the girls in her class which made it nice. Everyday when I picked her up she wanted to visit her two favorite teachers from last year, Bri and Jessica. These teenage helpers were so sweet and Julia still really loves them and wishes she was in their class. She was so happy to see them everyday to say hello and get a hug. Julia really enjoyed the theme this year which was Journey Off the Map and came home singing the songs everyday.
