Gary Pirkle Park

Enjoying our summer with a fun playdate at Gary Pirkle Park.  It's great because the whole playground is covered under a pavilion so it provides shade from our hot Georgia weather.  Crossing the cute bridge to get to the playground.

Super smiley boy!

Beautiful Julia!

We met a boy from Julia's class named Calder there who is sitting right behind her.  These two have had a crush on each other this year...it's so cute!  He's not just a cute kid but also very sweet!

Calder has 4 brothers and one of them was about the same age as Andrew.

Julia and Andrew with Caden, Calder and Bates along with a few random kids on the spider web.

Bates, Julia, Andrew, Calder, and Caden.  All such sweet kids!  Such a fun day at the park and now we have lots of sweaty kids!

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible is always such a fun week for Julia even though she misses Jessica and Brie from her first year of VBS.  Even though they are not her leaders anymore we always manage to find them and say hello.

Julia and Andrew enjoyed a week at Vacation Bible School where they were 'Submerged' in God's word.  This was the first time Andrew was old enough to attend and they both had fun.  Cumming First Baptist seriously has the best Vacation Bible School around.

This year Julia connected with one of her leaders named Anna.  I got her number so hopefully we'll have her babysit at some point.

Good-bye Pensacola Beach

During our visit to Pensacola Beach we saw lots of dolphins swimming right out our condo on a few different mornings.  We've been to Pensacola Beach a few different times and never noticed any dolphins but not this time.  Maybe if you zoom in on the photo you'll be able to see them a little too.  Thankful to spend another great week with my sister and her kids at the beach.

Pensacola Beach Day 6

The kids were ready before us to get to the beach so we gave them the job to start bringing down all the stuff.  We always had tons of stuff so it was great our condo was right on the beach.  The kids always did great carrying things.

Today we all spent most of our time in the water so I had to take a photo before I got in.  You can barely see Victoria but she insisted she didn't need any help.  Andrew spent most of his time on his boogie board and kicking away.  I mostly held Alexander since that's how he felt most comfortable and Victoria and Julia switched things up a bit between boogie board and floatie.  Definitely a fun day!

Andrew and his boogie board.  His friend for the day!

Collecting some water in the new buckets they got from dinner the night before.

Victoria (almost 3) and Alexander (5 1/2 years old).

My sister and her kiddos.

Andrew kicking around in the water.

Sweet Julia reading the kids a story.

Playing with bubbles while waiting to go on a trolley ride just for fun since the kids loved it.

Fun activity for the last night was water balloons.

The kids loved helping fill them up.

All ready for some fun with water balloons on the beach.

Watch out you might just get wet.

Big smiles from Julia when one popped all over her shirt.

Playing catch with his momma.

Looks like a balloon popped on Andrew's shorts but he's still smiling.

Such a fun last night on the beach!

Being crazy!

These three had fun on our last night too!  Sad our week came to an end but thankful we got to spend it together at the beach.

Pensacola Beach Day 5

Is this water gorgeous or what?  The gulf is absolutely beautiful!

Once the waves calmed down it took some convincing but I finally got Julia in the water.  She usually loves the water but for some reason it was harder to get her in this time.  However, once I got her to go in that's all she wanted to do.  Julia got in the water yesterday for a bit too.

Fun with the boogie board.

Andrew just chillin and smiling again!

Julia, Victoria and my sister enjoying the water.  Everyone got in the water today but no photos of that since we were all in for a while.

Victoria filling up a tiny bucket with water but barely getting much...kinda funny!

Our special activity for tonight was going out to dinner.  We walked across the street from our condo and went to Peg Leg Pete's and had an awesome dinner!  The kids got to play on the playground while we waited for our food.

A little walk after dinner to check out the boats. Here's the crew for the week!  Another successful and fun filled day together!

Pensacola Beach Day 4

Rather than going to the beach right away we went for another scooter ride.  It was so nice to be able to leave the condo and have a huge sidewalk to ride on and not have to worry about cars.

We went for a morning walk on the beach and collected shells.  There were tons!

These two crack me up!  They sure do love each other.

Then some airplane rides.

Victoria decided she wanted to go upside down instead and say hi beach.

Airplane ride for Andrew.

Even though Julia is 7 I could still give her an airplane ride and yes the boys are in the background fighting who is going next.

After lunch we headed to the beach and the waves were so much calmer today.  What a difference a few days make.  Kids digging again!

I had to take a picture to show just how calm the waves were today.

We emptied out the bucket used to carry toys and added some water and the kids played in it.

Relaxing in a bucket on the beach..ahhhh!

Every night we did something special.  Tonight was movie night and we watched Free Willy and Julia pulled out her tooth during the movie.  Glad she can pull her own teeth out because that just grosses me out.  Her other bottom teeth grew back in so all she's missing is her two front teeth.
