On Monday Julia had a slight fever and a cough so on Tuesday we hung out around the house and took it easy. Since we were home all day I decided some learning time would be a good idea. I've always spent more time on letters than numbers and I've noticed Julia writing some numbers backwards so I thought it would be great to practice them a bit. Julia was working on her numbers and even used a pattern when stamping them and I started working with Andrew on big A and little a. He had so much fun using the stampers and did such a great job!

Trunk or Treat
Every year our church has a trunk or treat but in the past it's been marketed towards those who attend preschool but this year they marketed the whole church. Hence we decided to get a parking spot and participate by handing out candy and having our kids trunk or treat too.
They have other activities in addition to the trunk or treat such as a hayride, games, face painting, silent auction, and stuff like that. This year Daddy had fun on the hayride with Micky and Minnie Mouse.
They even had a game of limbo going on which Julia enjoyed. Kinda funny since we just played limbo outside recently after dinner so Julia knew what it was all about.
Julia did great at throwing a little ball into cups with water and managed to get 2 of the 3 balls in a cup.
Even Andrew gave it a try but he wasn't quite successful. That's okay since he had fun anyways.
Julia enjoyed doing some dancing before the trunk or treat.
We decorated the back of my car with a spider web and some streamers. Noting too fancy but it worked.
Julia's favorite part of the event was handing out the candy...even more than the trunk or treating part.

Andrew and his lovey
Andrew is such a big fan of his lovey and I actually think it's cute. Julia gave it to him as a gift when he was born and he absolutely loves it. He always sleeps with it and really likes to take it with him when he leaves the house but he's very good about leaving it in the car. It's a little hippo face attached to a little blanket with four corners and he even has a favorite corner that he can tell which one it is by how it feels...how cute is that? Oh yeah, can't forget about his skinned knees...he fell on the driveway the other day and was so upset about it and cried as I cleaned it and even ripped off the band-aid I put on. Love his big 'cheese' smile in the second picture!

Hide and Seek
Gotta love the way Andrew 'hides' for a game of hide and seek with Julia. Julia was so sweet and kept looking around for him like he had a good hiding spot. I myself couldn't help but laugh because it was so cute!

Cumming Fair
We had such a fun night at the Cumming Fair and it worked out great going on a weeknight as compared to a weekend when it's much busier. Both Julia and Andrew rode a ton of rides as you'll see in the pictures.
Way up high.
The apple caterpillar ride which is a little bit bumpy but got my kids giggling.
The train.
Of course Nemo. Julia loved this one last year.
Andrew enjoyed it too.
Love this....Julia's flying. We went on Nemo probably four different times.
Andrew, Julia, and her friend Sunny waiting for the motorcycle ride.
When Andrew got off he said, 'That was fun!'
Julia really enjoyed the motorcycles too and even picked it as her last ride for the night.
Back on the train ride again and Andrew was saying, 'All aboard!'
Boat ride and Andrew wanted to ride in the orange boats. Right now his favorite color is orange just like Aunt Kim.
Julia and Sunny in the pink boat of course.
Julia on the dragon ride.
Andrew way up high all by himself. He was super cute on this ride and kept waving every time he went around.
Julia and Sunny on the spinning ladybugs. So nice to meet up with Julia's friend Sunny at the fair and it was great there were no lines for the rides.
Homework
Since Julia is in the 4 year prek class at school she usually gets one sheet on homework on Monday and turns it in on Wednesday since she doesn't go to school on Tuesdays. Thus far it's been practicing writing her letters. I still try to do some learning time with her during the week while Andrew is napping and we recently started learning some sight words. She can now read the following sight words in isolation the, can, is, on, and, my, a, did, yellow. She's also reading some of the BOB books too and it's pretty exciting. We're also working on adding number together too. She's definitely more into writing now and will often ask how to spell something so she can write a note. It's really cute to see her excitement!

Julia the Mommy
Julia continues to love her baby dolls and takes such great care of them. Here she is changing Baby Lyla's diaper. She's going to make one great mommy someday.
