Books, Books, & More Books

Julia absolutely LOVES books! We use to have the books on a shelf but she couldn't reach them and she was always pointing at them so I moved them into these baskets on the floor and she loves going through them. She just loves it when we read to her. Often times she'll go get a book and bring it to us so we'll read it to her. Here she is going through her baskets of books in her room the other morning trying to find the perfect book to read.

Easter Sunday

Lately Julia's favorite snack is goldfish so I decided to fill her Easter eggs with them. Needless to say she was a bit surprised to find goldfish in there as you can tell by the look on her face. She enjoyed her first egg of goldfish right after breakfast.


Julia found her Easter basket that the Easter Bunny left for her on the fireplace. She got a cute swimsuit since we plan on doing lots of swimming this summer and A-Z alphabet blocks with pictures inside each block. She really enjoyed playing with the easter grass too!


The hunt was on and she found another egg. She wasn't quite sure why eggs were hidden around her house but she always gave us a priceless look on her face when she found one. Often times she would giggle as she thought it was funny to be finding eggs.

Here she is after we got home from having dinner at a friend's house. She did great and ate lots of ham.

Riding in the Wagon

With all the nice weather we've had lately Julia has really enjoyed being outside. She loves riding in her wagon and her swing. When she wants to go outside she'll lay by the door to the garage or the deck and bang on it and make noises. (It's her way of saying 'Let's go outside.') I must say, it's really cute! And when you ask her if she wants to go outside she gets SO excited!

Walking with Stroller

I'm not quite sure why the video didn't come out that great but I can't complain since this blog site is free. Anyways, she is doing great with her walking and is very proud of herself and so are we. It makes me nervous letting her do it alone but she's getting better and better and I'm able to stand back just a little but we're always prepared for a fall. She loves walking with her stroller and her lion and they have been great for her.

Using a Spoon

Today Julia wanted to feed herself her afternoon snack of yogurt...peach yogurt. We both got a bit messy but as you can tell she did a great job of getting the spoon in her mouth. Good thing for mommy it was yogurt and not carrots...since baby food carrots aren't easy to get out.

Easter Egg Hunt!

Today our neighborhood had an Easter Egg Hunt down by the pool and it was Julia's first time hunting for eggs. She enjoyed some practice walking while waiting for the egg hunt to begin.

Julia really enjoyed holding the eggs and wasn't interested in putting them in her basket. At home she always puts things into baskets like her books or toys but today she just wanted to hold them...who can blame her, right?


After Julia found her 12 eggs she enjoyed looking at her collection. It was a little chilly at 11am but the sun was shinning and it wasn't raining so it was a great day for an egg hunt.


This is Julia with her friend Liam who we met at our neighborhood playgroup. We meet up and play with Liam every Friday. He's a month older than Julia.


Julia was very excited to find out that the snack at the end of the egg hunt were goldfish...her favorite snack!

Messy Hair

I've been wanting to take a picture of Julia with her messy hair when she wakes up in the morning for a while now. I always forget about it but today I finally remembered. Here she is with her crazy morning hair...I just love it! Her hair is getting long so it gets a bit crazy if it's not in a clip. Little love bug slept 11 1/2 hours last night. Even with her messy hair I think she's as cute as ever!
